We have heard this million times from everyone that almonds are good for health but sadly many people don’t know that these nutritious nuts have many side effects too. These are our best friends only if they are consumed in limited quantities.  Everyone believes that almonds are beneficial because they are loaded with vitamin A. Sure, they are but if you overeat them you will have to have its harmful effects too.

The harmful effects of almonds are listed below-

 

  • Consumption of lots of this dry fruit can cause constipation, bloating, upset tummy and other digestive problems. I bet you didn’t know this before. This happens because almond has lots of fiber which our body is not ready to consume in abundance. So, when you eat lots of almonds regularly you might face these problems. So, it’s better to avoid the overdose.

  • These nutritious almonds not only contains Vitamin A but they also contain Vitamin E. The daily requirement of Vitamin E in our body is 15 mg only but half a cup of almonds contain 25mg of Vitamin E. So, if you are having lots of these for ex. 1 cup daily then you are consuming 3times extra vitamin E then your body needs. Having more vitamins in your body might not show direct side effects but it will blur your vision, weaken your eyes and cause diarrhea in due time.

  • Did you know that Almonds are very rich in fat content? By very rich I mean they have high quantities of fat and calories. 100 grams of almonds contains 50 grams of fat contents, mainly monosaturated fats. This is not a bad thing but what if you are not doing enough labor to burn these calories? You will gain weight.
