The perfect drug by Chaitanya Saini is a different kind of novel. I’ve never read something like that before so I am not able to judge it properly. I like it and not like it at the same time.
The main character is Ananya. He has two friends, a big family, girlfriend and so there are lots of characters in the book. After being heartbroken he started a research to produce a different kind of drug and he named it The perfect drug. It enhances mental abilities of the human being and induces some kind of spiritual energy. He gains success with the help of his formula but still, he was not totally happy with his life. The novel is very long and there is much to read in it. There is a lack of dialogues in the book which made it less interesting. The long explanation of chemistry formulas and reactions made it really boring for me. I being a science student got bored and didn’t understand most of the things, I doubt that any non – science student will understand them. That part was really boring and I skipped those parts.
The language in the book is difficult as the author has used rich vocabulary. I’ll give this book 2.5 stars out of 5. The title was appropriate for the book as the story revolves around that perfect drug and what it does.
